Social Media Training

People often ask me where to get the best social media training. In truth, I can’t point to one source to learn what I now know. Nor can I promise that someone else will get what I got out of all three combined.

Just like you can’t tell your new hire where to buy what you know about business.

Everything I learned from those certificate programs, other online training I’ve taken, and even a new webinar I might have just listened to this morning has been digested within the context of business, marketing, writing, and client management skill sets I’ve honed throughout my career. A career that officially began with more than ten years as a New York bank Fortune 750 Corporate Client Manager and spans through my most recent social media interaction.

I’m a life long learner passionate about social media and inbound marketing who’s lurched herself ahead on the new media learning curve through education, personal engagement and client work.

I have social media expertise, but it’s not the real reason you should hire me.

Strategy is Everything.

The reason to hire me is that I know how to use that social media knowledge. My pre-social media business experience makes me better able to understand your specific business challenges, goals, industry sensitivities and resource tradeoffs.

A former Corporate 750 client manager and journalist, I'm now a Certified Social Media Coach and Inbound Marketing Specialist who helps clients achieve their business goals.

My blog includes observations, tips, case studies and webinar reviews related to social media, inbound marketing and blogging.

In addition to my client work, I am a long time Friends of the Library volunteer. My current Friends volunteer focus is marketing efforts on behalf of the Friends Corner Book Shop, an all-volunteer used book shop whose proceeds benefit the Lafayette Library and Learning Center. I'm chronicling efforts to blend new media marketing with traditional efforts as a real-time case study.
